On Confluent's corporate website from June 2019 through January 2020, there was a chatbot integrated using Drift technology which performed customer service tasks and interacted with potential customers. I created this robot icon as the "face" of the chatbot, using 

Confluent's company colors and its technology theme. The robot was designed to be playful, interactive, and represent the technological affiliation of the streaming and cloud-based data company. The icon replaced the images of Confluent sales representatives who were at the time featured on the chatbot, as the robot was less "threatening" and more attractive to customers who did not want to get stuck in a formal conversation. The response to the chatbot was astounding, as it generated a 90% increase in click-rate on the chatbot overall.
